The main downside is that the graphics are somewhat lacklustre, and the gameplay is quite clunky especially when it comes to movement and combat. With so much going on in the world, and so many routes open to you, each run-through of the game is different. There are so many different choices you can make, and all of them affect your experience of the game. Oblivion is truly the game to beat when it comes to quests. However, excellent as that was, some would say that Oblivion is even better. Skyrim at the time was one of the most impressive examples of open world gaming, and everyone was talking about it. Many gamers will have played and loved their games from the start, but it truly became mainstream with Skyrim in 2011. Imagine how cool it’d be to get a remade version of the Forge where you could create 4K maps! Ultimately, a remake would not only allow you to relive the glorious campaign, but also create your own custom gaming experience.īethesda are responsible for a wealth of incredible franchises, but their most popular has to be The Elder Scrolls. This also allowed for the creation of custom game modes, and the community delivered some awesome ones. Halo 3 had a system called Forge where you could create custom maps. One of the coolest things about Halo 3, though, is the extra game modes. It can be played single player, or multiplayer with up to 2 players on couch co-op, or up to 4 players when using the online services. It also contains some incredibly emotional scenes, particularly those between Chief and Cortana. Halo 3 is arguably the best game of the entire franchise, with some truly unforgettable missions.

However, whilst Halo 3 was included, it was just the original version on console (PC got somewhat of a remaster without being a full graphical overhaul). Halo 1 and 2 had a remastered option, where you could toggle between new graphics and the classic look. This included all the games 1-4, as well as Reach and ODST. It would be the perfect homage to a cartoon which has beaten the odds to remain hugely popular. They could speed up the movement, and make the game better looking. We could get into the same crazy shenanigans as in the original, only this time it would work more smoothly. A remake could fix all that! A remake could allow us to explore Springfield in a way that was never possible before. The movement was clunky and frustrating, and took away from the enjoyment of a game that was otherwise pretty brilliant. The quests themselves were fun in concept, but spending minutes ambling from house to house was quite draining. Unfortunately, that meant that the game ended up being a bit haphazard when it came to the gameplay. They needed to add all the characters we know and love, all the places, and a whole bunch of items that the player could interact with. They had so many assets to cram into what was a relatively small game.
Unfortunately, the gameplay mechanics missed the mark somewhat, being limited as they were by the technology of the time. The Simpsons was THE cartoon back in the day, so being able to play it as a video game was beyond cool.
When The Simpsons Hit and Run came storming onto the scene in 2003, it was the talk of the playground. But if they were to only remake one, then Chamber of Secrets would be my preference as I loved the use of duelling, as well as the prevalence of Bertie Botts beans scattered throughout the world.Īh, the pinnacle of 90’s kid hype. What I’d really love to see would be a two-pack of both Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone and Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets both included in one game. I’d love to see some variation in the flying options during quidditch matches (maybe boosts/power-ups?) and they could improve the controls during mini games. Not only do they have the opportunity to vastly improve the graphics and movement style, but they could add exciting new mechanics.

However, in today’s modern era, there are so many possibilities for how they could upgrade the game.
